I deplore the huge personal risk some of these delivery riders are subjected to — merely to deliver a single junk meal right up to some sedentary-person’s front door. Whilst our streets *should* be 100% safe for riders, the reality is very much otherwise.

I work within a couple of hundred yards of a mini-supermarket, so lunch involves just a very short walk in the fresh air. There is another mini-supermarket on the route home from work, so evening meals can be obtained from there. It’s not the ideal lifestyle, but no delivery riders have to put their lives at risk just to feed me.

Slippery, immature, a bit of a crustacean, and dangerous to know.
