This is nonsense. Hippies (and wannabe hippies) were 'boomers'. They never stayed in Marriots. They eschewed suitcases - preferring battered grubby backpacks. (Backpacker = boomer). They hitchhiked their way across the country instead of flying. And they cadged lifts on yachts (as temporary crewmembers) to cross oceans.

Gen Z on the other hand will protest about climate change one day, and then fly off to Bora Bora the next — thereby using up a ton or two of Jet A1 (per passenger) and producing nearly 4 times that amount in CO2 emissions.
